Factors for the development of acne

Factors for the development of acne
An estimation of how many people around the world suffer from acne sums it up to sixty million people. Acne is a medical condition, related to an important skin problem which “harasses” without making distinctions between people. The first thing you need to do if you wish to get rid of your acne problem is look into the most frequent causes for this skin condition.

One important factor which can cause acne is the food we choose to eat. If your eating habits include foods rich in sugar and carbohydrates you will be predisposed to acne. Moreover, if you eat many fats and oils, this can create a hormonal unbalance and cause your skin to erupt in acne. Best types of food recommended are fruits, vegetables, low fat milk, cottage cheese, and light meats.
Teenagers usually have acne due to some special types of hormones, named Androgen hormones. These hormones also have the tendency to grow during menstruation and pregnancy. This is the reason why many women suffer from breakouts during their menstrual cycle and during their pregnancy.
Research shows that another factor in developing acne is stress. Stress is known to be related to an increase in cortisol production, which causes acne. If you are stressed, your body goes through hormonal changes and the skin is likely to produce more oil.
The psychological effects of this skin condition are often low self-esteem because of the embarrassment acne causes, especially in the lives of teenagers. Although the market is filled with products directed at acne issues, it is difficult to choose an efficient product.
Here are some tips on how to get rid of acne fast. First of all, try drinking a lot of water.

Types of acne - What is acne? - Cause and development of acne

ACNE - What is acne?
Acne is a skin disease that affects people all over the world. People of all ages can suffer from the disease, though it is most prominent among adolescence and youths. Millions of people suffer from the disease. The disease has less attention because it is not a serious health treat, though it can cause temporal and permanent scars.
Cause and development of acne
The cause of the disease is not fully understood by researchers, but it is believed to be a disease that affects the oil glands of the skin. The follicles (pores) normally drain the sebum which is the oil from the skin. Due to some unknown reasons, the follicle blocks and this prevent the sebum from reaching the skin surface. Bacteria then invade the area and begin to multiply which causes swelling, which then breaks down and gives rise to a pimple. Researchers believes that certain factors can cause or promote the development of acne; these factors are: some kind of drugs, certain make up used by women, hormonal changes in adolescence especially when they enter puberty and hormonal changes in pregnant women. Acne is widely believed to be inherited; it’s some kind of hereditary disease. The disease concentrates mostly on areas of the skin with dense population of sebaceous follicles like the neck, face, chest and back.Exposed Skin Care
Types of acne
Two main types of acne exist: inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne. Many types of pimples exist and these belong to either the inflammatory or the non-inflammatory acne. The non-inflammatory acne is the most common type which occurs due to the reasons mentioned above. The inflammatory acne is somewhat different, it occurs when the follicle wall ruptures due to touching or picking the skin and this leads to inflammatory reaction which usually involves the body defense cells, like the white blood cells. Examples of pimples are: whiteheads and blackheads - which are both non-inflammatory -, nodules, cysts, pustules and papules - which are all inflammatory -. The non-inflammatory acne is the less severe type and can heal naturally by releasing its content to the surface of the skin, but the inflammatory acne is the severe type which cannot be healed naturally and is difficult to treat.
